Vision India Real Estate, an integrated property development and asset management group, has announced a cultural association with the dance school of the well acclaimed actress and danseuse, Shobana, to provide an experience of the Indian Classical Dance, in its upcoming premium housing project, The Gem Grove. Gracing the occasion was the multi-faceted persona, Shobana herself.
Speaking about the development Ilan Elad, Executive Director, Vision India Real Estate said, “It’s our great pleasure to partner with Ms. Shobana to launch the prestigious Kalarpana at The Gem Grove. This school would go on to offer Bharatanatyam dance technique classes at all levels and would be taught from the beginner’s level to the advanced level.
Speaking on the occasion Shobana said, “It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of Gem Grove. Over the years there has been a gradual erosion of the humane value, the cultural touch and the warmth in the lives of people. The modern life in Chennai has changed over the years and is transforming at a very fast pace. We need to ensure that our heritage is not lost in this transformation and hence we are coming up with this classical dance school in this IT Corridor.”
She further added, “Bharatnatyam is my passion and I am very grateful to the entire team of Vision India for supporting the cause that I believe in and for giving this opportunity to share my passion with others in this beautiful place. I ensure that the students will be encouraged to give performances on the stage thus boosting their morale and make them confident performers on the stage.”
Apart from Shobana herself, some of the faculty members would be from the other branches of Kalarpana.
