Real estate developer M3M India has purchased a 13-acre land parcel in Noida. The outright purchase has been through e-auctions and the developer plans to invest around Rs 2,400 crore to develop a mixed-use project. M3M India has a major presence in Gurugram and this is part of the company’s market expansion to Noida through this project.
The meeting was Chaired by UP Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner and Noida Authority Chairman Arvind Kumar in presence of Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer Ritu Maheshwari. In relation to structural audit of multi-storey buildings located in the authority area, the statement said that “the structural policy was prepared by the Noida Authority on the demand of flat buyers and AOA, in which the Structural Audit Policy has been approved by the Authority Board with partial modifications.”
In its reply to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in the case filed by journalist Gaurav Chaudhary & others, the Noida Authority urges the NGT to let it allow unauthorized dumping the garbage in sector 138.
Amit Mohan Prasad has been alleged to ask for personal favours from a builder, Grih Pravesh Buildteck. Though Track2Realty does not either endorse or deny the allegations, the documents shown by the builder has clearly established clash of interest on part of the Noida Authority CEO, Amit Mohan Prasad.
Under pressure from the civil society of Noida Sector 137 the NGT is likely to issue the stay order to Noida Authority within a week against further dumping of garbage. However, the apex environment body is yet to take a call to issue judgment for the shifting of the dump yard to another location, a source with the NGT confirmed it with Track2Realty while requesting anonymity.
Independent study has pointed out that Noida’s 14 lakh population generates nearly 660 tones of waste daily. However, the 40-year-old city still does not have a landfill site to dispose its municipal solid waste, which instead is dumped on roadsides and in vacant spaces. The large chunk of this waste is, of late, being dumped along the Noida Expressway.
