VUDA issues notices to realty firms

Track2Realty-Agencies: The Vishakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has issued notices to four firms here on Friday, Oct 5, for violating the rules. VUDA issued notices to Bommarillu Farms & Villas India Limited for development and marketing a layout of 15 acres without necessary permission in the name of Kotha Bangaru Lokam in Kumarm village in S Kota mandal of Vizianagaram and imposed a penalty of Rs 6.21 lakh.

Century Real Estate raises Rs 40 cr from Reliance Capital

Century Real Estate has reportedly raised Rs 40 crore from Reliance Capital and will raise another Rs 160 crore from the Anil Ambani promoted firm for its upcoming residential projects. According to reports the deal was closed last week and will be a structured transaction, which includes private placement of non-convertible debentures (NCD) and equity component.

New housing project launches decline by 44% in 2Q 2012: Cushman & Wakefield

An estimated 17500 residential units were launched by organised developers in the second quarter of 2012 in major cities across the country, registering a decline of nearly 44% over the previous quarter, says a report by global real estate consultancy, Cushman & Wakefield (C&W). This decline in launches can be attributed to a number of factors such as delay in approvals, significant inventory in certain locations as well as postponement of project to coincide new launches with the festival season.

Godrej Properties creates a Rs.770 Cr residential development platform with an APG-led global investor consortium

Godrej Properties (GPL) has announced creation of a residential development platform with Rs. 770 Crore of equity commitments comprising of a group of global investors led by Dutch pension services provider APG, one of the largest pension fund managers and real estate investors in the world. The investor group also includes Sparinvest Property Fund II, a global real estate fund-of-funds managed by Sparinvest Property Investors.
