Young professionals no more demand drivers of metro property

Track2Realty Exclusive: Young professionals in metro cities are no longer the demand drivers of residential property. More than half of them, as many as 57%, say they would prefer to stay in rented apartment and instead invest in their tier-II and tier III city home town for better appreciation potential. 78% of those working professionals with double-income who have bought a house in metro now want to invest in their home town for second home.

Sharad Pawar family accused of real estate scam

Track2Realty: Former police officer turned activist Y P Singh has alleged that Union Agriculture Minister and Nationalist Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar was centre of real estate scam. At the same time he criticised Arvind Kejriwal for concealing information about a massive scam in Maharashtra because he was selective about which politicians he targets. He also attacked Kejriwal for his expose against BJP Nitin Gadkari while sparing Pawar.

New allegations by Arvind Kejriwal against Robert Vadra, DLF

Track2Realty: In fresh allegations, activist-turned politician Arvind Kejriwal has termed the deals between DLF and Robert Vadra as ‘illicit’ and says he stands by his accusations against them. Arvind Kejriwal continued his offensive against Robert Vadra, DLF and the Congress Government in Haryana. Alleging that the Haryana Government had given undue benefits to DLF, Kejriwal said that the Punjab and Haryana High Court had pointed at a “malafide nexus” between the two.

Report says 50,000 hotel rooms expected in top six metro cities in next five years

Track2Realty: The top six cities of India are expected to see a total of 50,000 new hotel rooms across categories in the next 5- 6 years. This is in response to the steady growth the hospitality sector has recorded over the last few years. 2012 alone is expected to see 14,800 fresh keys by the end of the year. Out of the total expected supply for 2012, 2000 new hotel rooms have already entered the market. These are the findings of a report by Cushman & Wakefield (C&W)and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
