US billionaire real estate developer Donald Trump is finally making a serious move to transform the skyline of India’s financial capital, Mumbai. Trump is now planning to develop a super luxury 60-storey tall “condo” in south Mumbai. The 10th National Convention (NATCON) of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) is being held in New Delhi, Dec 16-17, and the focus this year is on the affordable housing. The convention will be attended by more than 600 leading real estate developers, heads of financial institutions, fund managers, bankers, state & central government representatives, realty professionals and international experts. The convention will highlight the areas of concern in providing affordable housing to meet the growing need of creating inclusive development in the sector.
The Gurgaon-based real estate developer, Orris Infrastructure, has launched a new age commercial complex ‘Business Square’ in Sector 82A, New Gurgaon. The project, which is spread over an area of 9.5 acres, has three towers that will offer office space and also includes a convention centre, 5-star and business hotel, according to the company.
The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India has expressed concern over “painting” the ‘loan-for-bribe’ as a scam. It says such negative projection would lead to drastic reduction in credit for real estate companies.
Bengaluru and Mumbai saw the highest leasing in green-certified buildings, accounting for over 50% share in Q2 2024. About 80% of Technology as well as Engineering & Manufacturing firms prefer taking up spaces in green-certified buildings. Majority of the upcoming supply in various construction stages is expected to be green-certified, expanding green office stock to over 600 mn sq ft in next 2-3 years.
