As part of Rustomjee Group of School’s efforts to invest in human capital for sustainable economic development, Rustomjee Academy for Global Careers (RAGC), the vocational divisions of the Group, has joined hands with Don Bosco’s St. Joseph’s Industrial Training Institute to impart vocational training programme relevant to various industries and assist them in providing employment opportunities.
In the first of its kind collaboration, RAGC and Don Bosco, will provide vocational training in Automobile, Facility management, Manufacturing Automation, Hospitality Services and others as the need arises. The programs will be run at the Don Bosco Campus in Kurla, Mumbai. The first batch will commence from 3rd October and admissions have already begun. Anyone from post High School to a graduate can pursue the courses offered and jumpstart his career.
This collaboration has the rare combination of industry and education stalwarts coming together for a social cause of educating disadvantaged youth with life and livelihood skills that hopefully will bring about a transformation in their life.
Participants who successfully complete these programs will receive a Don Bosco – RAGC Joint Venture Certification. This certification will enable a student to have an edge in the job market. All the programs will be industry relevant and will have 100% employability.
The course has been designed by RAGC and Don Bosco in a variety of certification programs of very high standard pertaining to skills sets coupled with professional characteristics that will transform a candidate into a professional, ready to be employed by industry or to venture into business.
The programs designed by RAGC have the right balance of theory, practical and on the job training. Regular lectures, and hands on training at Don Bosco’s state of the art labs and workshops will help students complete their practicals using present day technology. Field trips and project work will be part of the curriculum. A unique feature of this is an internship which will provide the candidate a stipend thus enabling him to earn his fees while he learns.
