Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI) Mira-Virar Unit has chalked out an aggressive growth plan on its first anniversary. This includes organizing seminars that will comprise of experts discussing real estate issues and making a robust plan of action to bring about holistic development of the region.
The first anniversary was celebrated in the presence of Paras Gundecha President, MCHI and the leading developers of the Industry at a suburban hotel. The unit was formed to make these regions a preferred destination for affordable and mid-income housing through organized, planned and balanced development by promoting best in class industry practices among members.
Established on 30th June, 2010, the unit is a representative body of developers operating in the fast growing suburbs of Mira Road to Virar. It has been a catalyst in collecting and diffusing relevant information pertaining to real estate among 125 of its member developers. It also works on policy matters with the local bodies, State Government and Central Government on issues relating to housing in these regions.
The anniversary celebrations were preceded by the 10th Managing committee meet of Mira Virar City (MVC). Speaking on the occasion, Boman Irani, President, MVC Managing Committee said, “Mira-Virar region has immense potential for housing and can bridge the demand-supply gap of the housing industry. In the past year, all the members have worked in a direction that has helped develop the region.”
During the past one year the unit has taken several initiatives to promote the housing industry of the region. It has also organized an exhibition titled ‘Suburban Property 2011’ in January at Maxus mall, Bhayander to help developers connect with prospective home buyers definitively seeking to purchase homes in the Mira–Virar belt .The exhibition received an overwhelming response with over 20,000 potential home buyers seeking to buy their home in the region.
