Thane-based Puranik Builders has recently launched a major project ‘Know Your House’ (KYH) for school children as a part of their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. The company is targeted at all school children belonging to the underprivileged section of the society.
The initiative, however, is not restricted only to under privileged children. It extends to all the school children from all the strata of the society, in and around Thane and Pune. Puranik Builders has tied up with a leading NGO for the same.
The KYH endeavor is designed to apprise the school children of various processes involved in construction of a ‘home’, right from placing and cementing the bricks to the construction of full–fledged houses. This is expected to create awareness about ‘construction of houses’, amongst children, whereby increasing their interests in such areas of livelihood.
The idea behind the KYH is to assist the children in growing up to become aspiring citizens and making them aware of their potential like every other child of their age. The purpose is to train the young minds, catch them young.
Commenting on the company’s CSR drive, Shailesh Puranik, Managing Director, Puranik Builders Private Ltd said, “Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been an integral part of Puranik Builders vision and the cornerstone of our core value of good corporate citizenship. We would like to make sincere efforts to work towards the underprivileged and general school children who are the future of the fastest growing country like India.”
