Germany-based home and kitchen modular furniture maker Hacker Kuchen GmbH is all set to enter into a MoU with DB Reality for supplying 900 kitchen modulars for various projects the real estate major is taking up in Mumbai, master dealer for the company in India Kanu Kitchen Kulture Pvt Ltd said on Friday.
“We are yet to sign the MoU with them. Each kitchen modular will be on an average of Rs.six lakh. The project is due to complete by the middle of next year. The total order (900 kitchens) is just two days production of our German unit,” Mukesh Kumar CMD, Kanu Kitchen told media persons on the sidelines of inauguration of Furnplus – authorised company outlet here.
He said it will take two to three months for the company to install all 900 kitchens. Kumar further said the company is in talks with Videocon Group, which is developing some property in Hyderabad.
“Currently we are doing around Rs.17 crore turnover per annum in India. We expect to achieve at least five per cent of the addressable market over the next five years,” he said.
Hacker is currently having a turnover of Euros 348 million. “We do not have any plans to open manufacturing facility either in India or China at the moment,” said Willy Kamm, marketing director, Hacker Germany.
Besides Hyderabad, the company has outlets in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kochi and Coimbatore. It also proposes to open outlets in Chennai shortly followed by Ludhiana, Pune, and Indore by the end of next year, Kamm said.
