Track2Realty-Agencies: The committee appointed by the Ministry of Urban Development to streamline approval procedures for real estate projects is expected to submit its report by the month-end, a senior official said here on Thursday, Nov 1.
“We have made the recommendations and the final report will be submitted to the ministry by the end of this month,” committee chairman and former chairman of Competition Commission Dhanendra Kumar told reporters in Mumbai on the sidelines of a real estate summit organised by FICCI.
The committee was formed to suggest a systematic approach through which all cities and states can develop fast-track, single window clearance mechanisms giving specific focus on simplification of procedural aspects, formulating single composite form with complete listing of the set of documents necessary to accord sanction and automated systems for building-plan approvals.
“We have studied best practices from across the country and we will suggest a standardised procedure, including single window clearance that can be adopted. This will enable new players to come in the sector thus encouraging competition,” he said.
