Jaxay Shah, director of Savvy Infrastructure, has been elected as the new vice-president of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI).

The election was held on Saturday in the city. Managing Director of Ganesh Housing Shekhar Patel has also been appointed as the treasurer of the national body of the realtors association of India.

It represents 5,000 developers through 20 member associations.
Besides, president of Gujarat Institute of Housing and Estate Developers (GIHED) Suresh Patel, executive partner of Parshwanath Realty Rushabh Patel and CREDAI Gujarat chairman Mukesh Seth also found a seat in the executive committee.

Suresh Patel said it shows that Gujarat has created credentials at national level. Around 140 real estate developers from 20 states such as Niranjan Hiranandani, Kumar Gera, Gopal Gupta, Lalit Jain, Rajni Ajmera, Shekhar Reddy, Irfan Razack, Ramni Shashtri, Pradip Jain, and Gopal Gupta along with office bearers of GIHED and CREDAI Gujarat chapter were present in the meeting.

This is for the first time that Gujarat, in particular Ahmedabad, has got recognition at the national level. “Earlier, Mukesh Seth and I were the only two developers from the state who were members of executive committee,” said Jaxay Shah.

Couple of more developers from Baroda, Surat and North Gujarat may be included in the committee in future. To form a new body of national confederation of realtors’ associations in the country, 54 voters including six from the state, had cast their vote for electing the president and five VPs.

Lalit Jain of Kumar Builders from Pune was elected as the president while chairman of New Delhi-based Parsvnath Developers Ltd, Pradeep Jain has become the new chairman of the confederation.
