With the theme ‘Real Estate Strategies for Industrial Growth and Urbanisation’, the meet looks at providing insights into the changing economic scenario, market behaviours, emerging business locations, office space occupancy strategies, sustainability and technology that would help the corporate world navigate its business plans.

According to a press release, the summit has a structured programme with presentations and brainstorming sessions on how to improve urban living and recommendations from it are to be submitted to the government for relevant action.

Key stakeholders from corporate real estate, end users of office space, investors, developers, builders, architects, infrastructure providers, consultants, government and other organisations are expected to participate in the two-day meet.

Supported by Cushman & Wakefield as Knowledge Partner, GIREM has Jones Lang LaSalle as Intelligence Partner, CREDAI as Industry Partner, Certes Realty as Land Acquisition Partner, India Property as Online partner and CBRE, ROFMA, TU REUG and FM Zone as Supporting Partners.

The GIREM President, Shyam Sundar Pani ,says the summit is being held in the backdrop of global volatility in terms of outsourcing destinations and its consequent impact on real estate.

“India is being challenged by countries such as Philippines and Sri Lanka and such challenges can be countered only by proper direction from the industry and commensurate policies by the government,” he says.

Around 300 delegates as well as speakers from across the world are to participate in the event which will have workshops on ‘Green energy’, ‘Waste to energy’ and the future of architecture, the press release added.
