For instance, a perception is gaining ground that Mumbai property has reached beyond its saturation point and the standing inventory of 48 months is being cited as the evidence.

Track2Realty: In a major setback to attempts of Maharashtra government to improve infrastructure in the Mumbai, none of the five shortlisted firms put in tender for the ambitious Mumbai TransHarbour Link (MTHL) project, the bids for which opened on Tuesday, Aug 6. It is also seen as a major blow for the Mumbai real estate market which was expecting a turnaround post this Rs. 10,000 crore ambitious project.

Below the line marketing company Theme Ventures has signed a group of well-known real estate companies in Mumbai to sell the residential properties directly to the corporate employees by setting up shops inside the large work premises, the news reports said.
By allowing external commercial borrowings (ECBs) in the low-cost housing segment, the supply of affordable housing projects will increase in the outskirts of Mumbai in areas such as Karjat, Boisar, Nalasopara, Virar, Dombivili etc. on the heels of increased liquidity for budget home projects.
The global real estate fund of Morgan Stanley is in talks with Mumbai-based Sheth Developers to invest $100-125 million in a residential project in Mumbai, sources with direct knowledge of the development said.
