DLF & HUDA to build 16-lane corridor to ease Gurgaon traffic woes

The order of Competition Commission of India (CCI) has raised question marks on the role of the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) and Town and Country Planning Department (DTCP).
The Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), also known as Dwarka Expressway, is an 18-km stretch of road that is being developed under the public private partnership (PPP) model. This stretch will connect Dwarka Phase II and Palam Vihar to National Highway 8 near Kherki Dhaula and Pass Pataudi Road. This is a highly lucrative project that has been taken up by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).

A three-km flyover between Delhi and Faridabad which will ease traffic bottlenecks at the Badarpur border has already cleared the traffic bottlenecks in the area. Six-laning of the existing bypass road starting from Badarpur, parallel to the Agra and Gurgaon canals is further adding to its connectivity.
